His leadership saw the development of pioneering models such as a behavioral health home, which received top marks within six months of implementation. He also collaborated with academic institutions and local organizations to launch community revitalization efforts centered on economic stability, housing advocacy, and youth empowerment.

Throughout his career, Bobby has held diverse leadership roles, including Director of Housing and Financial Services at the SF LGBT Community Center and Director of Youth Programs at Ark of Refuge. These positions showcased his ability to develop financially sound programs, secure funding, and implement groundbreaking solutions for underserved communities. Bobby is also adept at navigating complex systems such as HUD, HMIS, and coordinated entry frameworks, ensuring optimal support for unhoused and marginalized individuals.

Currently, Bobby serves as Managing Director at Rising Beyond, LLC, where he leverages his expertise in strategic planning, process optimization, and coalition building to drive community-focused initiatives. Additionally, as an Associate with Book Writing Venture, Bobby lends his unique perspective and storytelling prowess to craft compelling narratives that inspire and educate.

Bobby’s academic journey includes studies in Applied Behavioral Science and Child Development at the University of California-Davis. He holds certifications in Youth Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Services, and Risk Reduction, among others. An MDiv Candidate with a focus on Social Justice and Practical Theology, Bobby combines his professional acumen with a deep commitment to advocacy at both individual and systemic levels.

Residing in Sacramento, California, Bobby enjoys cooking, music, and quality time with his grandchildren, godchildren, and a lively household that includes his beloved pets, Baby Boy and Mrs. Lily. His dedication to uplifting communities and creating lasting impact defines his life’s work.
